Phil Mickelson stayed steady while Jeff Quinney faded down the stretch to win at the famed Riviera club in L.A. Keeping with his yearly tradition of winning early in the season he played solid rounds all under par to win the tournament.

Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson renew their rivalry today at the Buick Open. Teeing it up for the first time in 2008 both expect big years. Tiger has even made the comment that the Grand Slam is within reach this year….I don’t know about that but I never count him out of it either.

Phil Mickelson slid down the leaderboard in round 2 of the Barclays Singapore Open shooting a 1 over par 72. Mickelson has had trouble off the tee this week and even had an emergency session with Butch Harmon to try to figure out what was going wrong. He still is in the top 10 of the tournament and trails Angel Cabrera by 6 shots. KJ Choi and Vijay Singh are tied with Phil at 2 under par through round 2.
